Double-rotor shredder is an industrial shredder for processing different materials. The Raptor Pro series machines are successfully used for processing and shredding plastic waste, bags, films, big bags, cables, wood, paper, municipal waste. They are particularly effective for shredding film and woven materials, due to special rotor treatment.

How does a double-rotor shredder work?

Double-rotor shredders consist of two rotors that rotate into each other. The rotors have staggered teeth attached to them. The rotors move at low speeds, thoroughly grinding and shearing materials.

The particles of the crushed material pass through the holes of the fractional sieve installed under the shredder shaft, transforming into fractions of the same size. The suitable mesh can be selected according to the raw material and customer requirements. The waste processed in the shredder can be used directly in production or further shredded into smaller fractions.

Shaft

• the rotor has high wear resistance due to its special steel construction. Hard alloy coating of the rotor increases resistance to damage when working with abrasive material.

  the impact to the rotor when working on cloth is damped by the gearbox reactive thrust silent blocks.

  having 4 working edges, the knives work for a longer time and are easy and quick to replace.

  additional (side) knives prevent winding and accumulation of material between the jaw of the cutting chamber and the rotor.

  rotor bearing housings are located well outside the cutting chamber for maximum dust/moisture protection.

  the position of the knives on the rotors and their clamping angles are optimized for processing complex materials: fabric, PP bags, film, big bags.

Stator blades

• replaceable and adjustable 4-sided blades (knives). The stator blade adjustment unit is reliably protected against wear by a special pad, which also has the function of guiding the material into the cutting zone.

  the non-working edges of the replaceable stator knives are reliably protected against premature wear.
